"Be humble and do not be afraid to seek counsel. If you believe enough in something, be courageous and persistently pursue it."

"I came from a humble family background of six other siblings. My late father was illiterate and singlehandedly raised the family up. Life was tough, but he spared no effort when it came to education. It was an investment for a brighter future for the kids. Having gone through this experience, I firmly believe no one should be denied a good education simply because of financial challenges."

Fireside Chat: Setting Career Objectives as Principles, not End Points
(12 October 2017)
Some say "careers are overrated", while some of us spend considerable effort planning them. Can successful careers be crafted or are they just coincidences built on "a series of fortunate events"? How does one plan a career when rules of engagement are constantly changing in the dynamic environments we operate in?
Join us in this Fireside Chat: Setting Career Objectives as Principles, not End Points, jointly brought to you by the SMU Travel and Hospitality Alumni Group and the SMU Office of Alumni Relations.
Hear from Co-founder of Singapore-based ZUZU Hospitality Solutions Dan Lynn as he shares his personal journey and life lessons, especially setting career objectives as principles, rather than an end point.
