Organised by SMU Travel and Hospitality Alumni Group, with OAR support, the event is targeted at alumni working or doing business in the Travel and Hospitality industry. Recruitment personnel from leading corporations and entrepreneurs in hotel management, travel, airlines, tourism, and allied sectors will also be invited. It will be held at Smoke & Mirrors, Level 6, National Gallery Singapore. Join us to network with fellow alumni and industry professionals over drinks and light bites, whilst enjoying splendid views of iconic Padang and Marina Bay. Who knows what opportunities may be in store for you? Do register now! |
SMU places high emphasis on diversity and inclusion, a belief that is strongly embraced by students. To support the university in this important initiative, students from different nationalities including Singapore, come together under club ICON to celebrate diversity, promote integration, and to provide support to international students. ICON with support from the Diversity, Inclusion and Integration (DII) Team (formerly International Students Experience@OGL) have built strong bonds and cohesion amongst its members. Long after graduation, the ties remain strong, and it’s timely for ICON and DII, in collaboration with OAR, to invite alumni back to interact with students in the inaugural ICON Interaction Night. The cohort with the highest number of attendees stands to win a grand prize! Rally your friends now! |
Share your knowledge with your juniors, and help them make the transition from university to work life! smu alumni inducted into inaugural international advisory council (myanmar)
|
Since setting up in 2013, the SMU Myanmar Alumni Chapter has grown from strength to strength, with more than 100 registered members. Chapter President Naing Ye Lin (BBM 2013) has been very effective in leading a cohesive team. The Chapter has been active and passionate in maintaining strong linkages with SMU. Many of its members are successful entrepreneurs, or run family businesses which have grown exponentially with them at the helm. Four such alumni were recently invited to sit in the newly launched International Advisory Council Myanmar (IAC). They are Chua Meimei (BBM 2007), Kyi Kyi Win (BBM 2007), Ronald Lee (BBM 2010), and Chapter President Ye Lin. The other three IAC members are prominent corporate or business leaders. The IAC’s role is to deepen SMU’s engagement with government, academic, and business communities in Myanmar.
