The SMU Marketing & Communications Industry Night is back, the first in the series of Industry Nights organized by the Office of Alumni Relations.

This ​event ​is ​targeted ​at ​alumni who are ​working ​in ​or ​are ​interested ​in ​the ​Marketing ​& ​Communications ​sector.

The SMU International Development & Community Action (IDCA) Alumni Group is one of the newest groups in the alumni community. 

Its aims are to build an alumni network of international and local community development practitioners, provide a platform to share good development practices, and foster stronger collaborations for greater impact for the community.

The SMU International Advisory Council (IAC) continues to grow in strength and stature as a platform meant to establish, strengthen and deepen SMU’s collaboration and engagement with the government, academic and business communities in that particular country.

The platform of engagement is via an Industry Leaders Dialogue discussing a relevant issue of that country, "Amidst Disruptions, Opportunities for ASEAN".

The Industry Leaders Dialogue and the Launch of the IAC Thailand will be held on 22 March 2018.

Interested SMU alumni, staff and students keen to engage with notable business industry leaders in Thailand, please contact Mr. Sam Wu (samwu@smu.edu.sg).

Joy Lim (above) founded Tomal Gobal Pte Ltd, a water filtration company that specializes in customizing solutions for a wide spectrum of industrial needs. Joy also believes in social causes, using Tomal's technology to bring refined drinking water to Cambodia in a bid to improve the health of locals.  

Alan Phua (BBM, 2010) is an SMU alumnus on a mission to create low Glycemic Index (low GI) carbohydrates such as rice, noodles, pasta etc. without compromising on taste. All of this is a bid to combat the diabetes epidemic in Singapore and worldwide. Alan is intent on making the world a healthier place, and we couldn't be prouder.
