| SMU graduates have been making an impact in various industries. This is most apparent in the banking and finance sector where SMU graduates are the employees of choice! Freshmen Teambuilding (FTB)/Orientation Camp (FOC) organisers and facilitators are a special breed! One is never too old to learn new things. Seeing his son pursue a double degree in law and business from SMU, alumnus Allan Foo was inspired and had the itch to study again. In his pursuit of knowledge, Allan obtained his Executive Master of Business Administration from SMU in 2012, exemplifying the spirit of lifelong learning. Current Advisor to the EMBA Alumni Group and a SMU Alumni Ambassador, Allan shares with us his entrepreneurial journey in establishing his company Meijo Singapore, the challenges faced in the initial stages, and his advice to alumni taking the entrepreneurial road.

As an inaugural recipient of the Li Ka Shing Endowed Scholarship during his studies in SMU, alumnus Gao Lu (BSc (Econs) / BBM 2007) was grateful for the scholarship that enabled him to experience all aspects of a SMU journey to the fullest. Inspired by his parents' giving nature and volunteerism, he set up the Yu Xin Community Leadership Award and the Shu Li Sports Excellence Award in 2012 to honour his parents and as a gift for their 30th wedding anniversary. Hear from him as he shares his humble views on giving back to the University.

The team aims to foster communication and involvement amongst the SMU alumni community as well as to ensure that alumni's voices are heard at the University.
