“Alumni For Life” is OAR's inaugural annual report to our alumni and other stakeholders for January 2015 to March 2016. It provides an overview of activities aimed at fostering closer engagement with our alumni. It was a hectic period, with a myriad of events designed at welcoming our alumni home. The accomplishments would not have been possible without the collaboration of SMU Schools and offices, the SMUAA, alumni leaders, groups, volunteers, and class representatives, and student clubs and groups. Our thanks to all who have contributed to making 2015/16 so exhilarating! This report captures the highlights. For keepsake, you may also get your hardcopy of the report at OAR, located at level 6, SMU Administration Building.

The Shirin Fozdar Programme (SFP), resident in SMU, facilitates the advancement of women in Singapore. It was established to commemorate Mrs Shirin Fozdar, an outstanding Singaporean woman who contributed vitally to women’s rights in Singapore. On 11 May, Chairperson Ms Claire Chiang unveiled SFP’s plans for the year ahead. It was very apt that the SMU Women Alumni Group was also launched at the event. The Group aims to gather the voices of SMU alumnae on shared interests and issues. It will organise activities to help members grow, including social and professional networking, personal and professional development, social and cultural activities, mentoring of alumnae and students, and community projects.
