The school holidays in June are a popular period for SMU alumni to travel overseas, for a well-deserved holiday with their families, friends, or on a solo trip. Working tirelessly to ensure that one's travel experience is fuss-free, well informed, and enjoyable are the individuals in the travel and hospitality industry, including a select group of SMU alumni who have chosen to pursue a career path in this industry. This month, we go behind the scenes to interview Ho Shyn Yee (BBM 2004), Director of Product and Technology at Expedia Group, and President of the SMU Travel and Hospitality Alumni Group, as well as Mikhail Goh and Tengku Suzana (both BBM 2014), the duo behind online travel portal Have Halal, Will Travel. Find out what drives them to pursue a path less travelled, and make meaningful impact in the highly competitive landscape.
