As an umbrella alumni body, the SMUAA plays a crucial role in strengthening the relationship between alumni and SMU, building the SMU brand, and shaping a premier institution. Year after year, a group of dedicated alumni strives to engage the alumni community by initiating meaningful activities and programmes through its 31 vibrant alumni groups. Last year SMUAA launched the alumni bistro B3, a prelude to a future Alumni Clubhouse. More impactful things can happen, and you can be part of it! Another leadership change will take place at the upcoming AGM on 24th March 2017. Stand for elections, join the 8th Executive Committee, and strategise in the building of a cohesive SMU alumni community. |
Student and alumni leaders play a critical role in engaging various segments of the student and alumni community respectively. These selfless and dedicated individuals, whilst at university and after graduation, give of their time and talents to build a strong SMU community through events, programmes, and other initiatives. Together these talented individuals can be a force to be reckoned with! We invite all past and present alumni and student leaders (SMUAA, Alumni Groups, Alumni Ambassadors, SMUSA, SAC) to join us for an “Interaction Night” on 3rd March at the B3 Bistro. The event is designed to facilitate meaningful interactions. It contributes to SMU’s 2025 vision of deeper engagement with students and alumni. Come connect with one another over food and drinks! Who knows what the interaction may bring? |
Since 2001, dedicated senior students have been volunteering their time and energy to engage freshmen and assimilate them into SMU’s student life at the annual Freshmen Teambuilding Camps (FTB). These organisers and facilitators forged strong bonds as they spent their vacations inculcating the SMU CIRCLE values in freshmen through group activities. They contribute much to enhancing collegiality in the student community. Friendships are formed, and years after graduation, they continue to maintain strong ties. We invite FTB organisers and facilitators (past and present) to connect and reconnect, renew ties, and reminisce about the good times on 31st March at B3 Bistro.
