From SMU Encore! to SMU CIRCLE – A New Name and a New Look!
SMU Encore! the alumni e-newsletter which connects the SMU alumni community has become more inclusive. It will now be circulated to the wider SMU family, so that everyone in our circle – alumni, students, faculty and staff, can connect; hence the new name SMU CIRCLE. The name also depicts the SMU CIRCLE values of Commitment, Integrity, Responsibility, Collegiality, Leadership, and Excellence embraced by the SMU community. SMU CIRCLE aims to keep our alumni engaged and connected to SMU as a close-knit community.
In this issue, find out more about the Alumni Mentoring Programme which provides students the opportunity to learn from alumni mentors on a wide spectrum of issues. This month sees the launch of OAR's Professional Development Series, with the first workshop on how a good understanding of one's thinking and behavioural preferences can lead to more effective professional relationships. Also hear what Terence Quek, President of MCM (MSc in Communication Management) Alumni Group, has to say about his plans for his group, and his motivations in contributing to the building of a stronger alumni community!
