And The ALcove is officially open!
On this joyous and momentous occasion, we had the pleasure of having SMU Chairman, Mr Ho Kwon Ping and SMU President Prof Arnoud De Meyer to officiate the opening of The ALcove, a space alumni can call their “home in the city”.

The ALcove was conceptualized as a gathering place aimed at bringing SMU alumni, students, staff and faculty together. On that night, it had indeed served this very purpose! More than 150 alumni, students, staff and faculty came to witness the special occasion as well as enjoy this newest space in SMU over drinks and food, specially curated by B3, the alumni bistro run by our SMU Alumni Association (SMUAA). More importantly, it was a wonderful evening of great conversations and connecting with one another from our big SMU family!

Yes, big is indeed the word to describe our growing alumni family. With 22,000 strong and growing, The ALcove is a prelude to an alumni guild house in the future. If you drop by The ALcove, you will also see two pieces of artworks presented by some of our illuminating alumni, who are also now part of the Alumni Group – SMU Alumni Collective (for Artists & Designers)

The evening wrapped up sweetly to the sounds of music performed by our SMU Sound Foundry Alumni Group.

It may be used for networking events, workshops, meetings, and recreation. To book the space or simply find out more about The ALcove, please contact thealcove@smuaa.org.sg
