Message from the Director
We recently concluded a 21-day SMU Alumni Homecoming event in October and what a blast we had bringing to you talks, forums, and workshops, celebrations and reunions, performances, a book launch, all culminating in a volunteer appreciation evening on 21 October. The schedule kicked off with SMU President, Professor Lily Kong engaging our alumni, sharing the progress that the University has made towards Vision 2025, and the plans ahead as we envision the future as OneSMU.
This October's SMU CIRCLE highlights some of the key events and conversations that took place at SMU Alumni Homecoming 2021. I do hope you will feel very much "at home" as you read on.

SMU President Professor Lily Kong delivered her third annual President's State of the University Address to the SMU community on 24 September 2021, where she shared the University's achievements to date, its strategic priorities and planned initiatives, and the opportunities and challenges that lie beyond 2021.
