Dear Alumni,
Season's Greetings from the Office of Alumni Relations!
2015 is drawing to a close. It has been an eventful year with new initiatives and programmes from the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR). Our thanks to all those who had participated in the various initiatives - SMU Industry Nights, SMU Interaction Nights, Reunions, Professional Development Series, Fireside Chat, Mentoring Programme, Alumni Recognition Ceremony, and many others. We hope that the programmes enabled you to renew ties with your peers, and refresh the memories of good times at your alma mater. Or perhaps you had learnt something new, made new friends, or identified opportunities that would bring exciting new developments?
Do continue to stay in touch. OAR has lined up a wide array of events for the new year, so there is no excuse not to come back! Do not miss out on receiving the latest news and updates from OAR by updating your preferred email. You can do this by clicking on the image above.
In this issue, we congratulate alumnus Benjamin Loh on clinching the 2nd Prize in the Global Drucker Challenge 2015 – an international essay competition for business leaders. Since his graduation in 2012, Benjamin continues to make an impact on the lives of others. Read his inspiring story.
We are pleased also to make two announcements. Firstly, the next run of the Alumni Mentorship Programme will start in February 2016. Do volunteer as a mentor and make a difference. Secondly, you will soon have your own Alumni CafĂ© named Tonic-X. At SMU Alumni Association’s 10th Annual General Meeting, attending members were briefed on this exciting development. We look forward to hosting you at the cafe in the near future!
We hope that you’ll enjoy reading SMU CIRCLE! Here’s to a new year filled with joy, laughter and peace. Cheers!
With warm regards,
Low Aik Meng
