Dear SMU Alumnus,
New Look For Your Alumni Website!
Your alumni website at www.alumni.smu.edu.sg will soon have a new look! It will be a mobile responsive site with a university-wide alumni event calendar, a single sign-on feature, live social media feed, and more! With this new platform, Alumni Groups will also have their own Group pages. Even better, you can login using the Userid and password used when you were students. We shall be sending you details soon. In the meanwhile, do click on the picture above to update your preferred email, so that you won't miss out on communications from OAR!
Another academic year is fast coming to a close. Some 2700 students will soon be completing their SMU academic journey. We wish them the very best in their future endeavours! They will join the 17,000-strong alumni community. OAR, SMUAA, and Alumni Groups would like to extend them a very warm welcome! "You may have completed your SMU student life, but you’ll be an Alumnus for Life!"
Our SMU “Industry Night” series for 2016 will be starting soon. On 21st April, Industry Night for Alumni Entrepreneurs will see the launch of the Alumni Business Directory! This will be followed by Travel & Hospitality Industry Night on 5th May, where SMU Chairman Mr Ho Kwon Ping will launch the Alumni Group. Hot on the heels will be Industry Night for alumni in the Banking and Financial Services on 26th May. Read more about the three events in this issue.
OAR organises milestone alumni reunions for each cohort every five years. That is too long a wait! To shorten the wait, OAR will be organising an interaction event for Class of 2013 and Class of 2014 on 13th May. This will be held at your own Alumni Café Tonic-X at the SMU Concourse (previously 4Point3). Come reignite your friendships and expand your networks. Calling all SMU alumni in startups and the startup financing industry - that is you angels, venture capitalists, and private equity people! Join SMUpreneurs as they host their largest event to-date, an industry night for SMU Alumni Entrepreneurs on 21st April.
