SMU alumnus Hubert Ng turned down a job offer from a management consultancy to write music six years ago. He and his team of three at his production house, Bertyverse, produce a wide range of entertainment content besides Shopee jingles. He wrote the theme song music for the China releases of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" and "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" this year. He shared his process of crafting a Shopee jingle, and what makes the jingle a success.
