SMU alumnus Royal Pek Wen Yang was formerly a trader before he turned his food and beverage (F&B) side hustle into a full-time job. He is now the proud co-founder of Xian Dan Chao Ren, an F&B chain specialising in Taiwanese-style salted egg snacks. With three branches islandwide and a fourth one in the pipeline, it seems like Royal's career switch has paid off. However, he shares about how this came with its own costs.
