Surrounded by various art museums while studying at SMU, SMU alumnus Mohamad Zaki Jumahri often visited those places whenever he felt stressed or needed to take a break from studying. Despite being exposed to such a wide range of works of art, he never thought that he would end up specialising in the field of art law. He will be pursuing a Master of Law in Art, Business and Law at London’s Queen Mary University after receiving a scholarship from the National Arts Council (NAC) and the National Heritage Board. A total of 10 recipients are awarded the master’s level scholarships to enable them to study art-related fields, and he is the first recipient of a master’s degree in law.
