SMU alumnus Jonathan Ng and CEO of SinFooTech – who is one of the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia recipients in 2020 – shares how he started the business and why he decided to be an entrepreneur as well as his plans for the company in 2020. SinFooTech brews unwanted soy (tofu) whey, the byproduct generated from tofu production, into alcohol. Touted as a first in the world, the drink is said to taste like Japanese sake with a fruity and floral profile, though it is lighter at seven per cent alcohol by volume.
