The ASEAN Para Games will not be held on January 18-25 as scheduled and may be postponed to March instead, after the Philippine Sports Commission admitted that it does not have enough funds to stage the event. SMU alumna and para-athlete Nur Syahidah Alim commented that the sudden postponement came as a surprise to her, but she is optimistic the Singapore contingent will stay focused and deliver in March. She added, "This change does not deter me from delivering my best at the Games and I am also certain Team Singapore athletes will do the same and remain positive."
