SMU’s Business Society, Bondue organized their very first Graduation Night event on the 24th of March, with the aim of giving their graduating class a warm and memorable send off after an eventful four years in SMU. Held at Tonic X, The event which was jointly organized by members of Bondue’s Leadership Development Series (LDS) and the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) was attended by close to 120 people. Lee Kong Chian's Business School (LKCSB)Associate Dean, Tom Estad opened the night with a hearty congratulations and well wishes for graduating class of 2016.
The sumptuous food served was a perfect accompaniment to the wine, beer and ciders; creating the perfect atmosphere for a night of revelry and reminiscing. A dazzling photo booth coupled with stunning hand-made props created especially for the inaugural event allowed the graduating seniors to capture lasting memories of the night.Yamsu, one of the two SMU up and coming bands kicked the night off with their upbeat and catchy English and Korean numbers while Ester & Boaz followed up belting familiar and well-loved tunes that got audiences singing along. It is undeniable that both bands blew audiences away with their amazing vocals and instrumental skills.
Of course no event is completed without a lucky draw segment; it was certainly an icing on the cake for one graduating senior who walked away with a free 2D1N staycation at Hotel Jen! A video featuring Bondue’s events in 2012 presented by The LDS team was a highlight of the evening. The photos had brought back many wonderful memories for the graduating class as they were taken down memory lane. Smiles were etched and laughter erupted from their faces as they recalled all the fun and laughter they had experienced as freshmen here in SMU.
These are the memories that will last a lifetime; while their student journey is almost over, a new adventure awaits as they embark on a new beginning.
It was a truly memorable night for all involved!
