SMU alumni working in the banking and financial services industry were invited to an exclusive industry networking night on 14 May 2015.
The evening commenced with a short sharing by guest speaker Mr Heng Koon How, Director and Senior Currency Strategist Asia Pacific, from the Private Banking and Wealth Management Division of Credit Suisse.
Koon How, also a graduate of SMU’s Master of Science in Wealth Management programme, shared his insights on the Foreign Exchange (FX) market, the key drivers for currency movements, the impact of FX risks on our investments, as well as practical tips on how to manage FX risks.
Held at Empire, the event saw an attendance of 140 alumni, graduating students and industry professionals. Besides networking over drinks and canapés, attendees also enjoyed the stunning views of Marina Bay from the 45th level of the Singapore Land Tower. The event provided a platform for alumni to not only expand their network of professional contacts but also gain access to career opportunities.
The next Industry Night is on 27 August 2015 for alumni working in the Information Technology industry.
