Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
~ Geroge Bernard Shaw
In the midst of creating ourselves, we need to create our personal brand. Invited by the SMU office of Alumni Relations (OAR), Julia Ng of Executive Coach International, delivered a workshop on what it means to build your own brand.
Alumni Ambassador Kenneth Oh (BBM, Class of 2012) welcomed the audience and shared about the initatives that the alumni office has, and invited members to pariticpate in future events.
More than 50 alumni attended this thought-provoking event on 19th May of how to go about creating their personal brand. Main takeaways include getting a clear intention of their intentions of their careers and steps towards articulating their career manifesto.
Through various questions designed to evoke deeper responses from within, the alumni that attended got insights to their true values in their professional spheres. This also gave the alumni a sneak peek into the realm of executive coaching and how it is used by top leaders to accelerate their careers and performances.
The workshop concluded with food and drinks, and alumni continued to interact at the lounge. For more photos from the event, click here.
