Marian Wright Edelman, American activist for children's rights, once said "Education is for improving the lives of others".
As we approach Christmas and the season of giving, this month's SMU CIRCLE focuses on how SMU alumni have dedicated their education to others, through their gifts of time, talent, or treasure.

SMU Alumni Homecoming 2021
|
|
Amidst the pandemic, SMU's first virtual alumni homecoming was successfully held online from 30 September to 21 October 2021.
Themed 'Envision Our Future,' more than 850 alumni participated in the three-week celebration to reconnect with classmates and faculty, rediscover SMU and rekindle the SMU spirit.
In addition to a curated lineup of events that included panel discussions, fireside chats, wellness talks and community activities, this year's homecoming also featured:

How can PMETs in Singapore remain employable in the face of disruptions and nascent economic conditions?
SMU alumnus Chong Tack Chun (MHCL 2020) may have the answer in his book, "Transform or Perish: Take Ownership of Your Career Destiny." In it, he shares a repertoire of career transformation strategies and other actionable steps one can take to
progress forward.
Following the virtual book launch on 14 October 2021 as part of SMU Alumni Homecoming 2021, an insightful panel discussion was held on the topic,
