The SMU Caretalyst Alumni Group, the alumni arm of a student-managed community service club under the SMUSA’s Special Interest Clubs (SICS), was launched on 27 July 2018. Since 2008, the club’s aim is for its members to be “a Catalyst that Cares”. The club has worked with over 900 volunteers and touched the lives of close to 4,100 people in the community. Through their community service projects, they aspire to rise up future leaders of creativity and character to serve the community through our mission of:
- Educating future leaders through character building;
- Encouraging the less privileged by meeting real social needs;
- Empowering our next generation to make a difference
