SMU alumnus Su Jia Xian has been collecting, talking and writing about watches since he was 12. The Japanese edition of Chronos watch magazine in 2014 included him in "Who's Who of the World's Watch Persons", a list of 100 notable personalities in the global watch industry.
Graduating despite feeling 'awkward' when she first entered SMU from madrasah
When Amalina Abdul Nasir started studying at SMU, she felt awkward mixing with male students. This was because until taking her GCE A levels, she attended Al-Maarif Al-Islamiah Madrasah, which does not have male students. She also had difficulties finishing the amount of reading required at SMU.
Committed to helping others, excel in studies
Amalina Abdul Nasir successfully graduated with a bachelor's degree in Social Science with majors in Sociology and Corporate Communications, while Muhammad Hafiz Kasman achieved the highest honour at SMU – Summa Cum Laude – for a degree in Business Management with a major in Finance.
