Celebrating a New Milestone in Indonesia

On 28 April 2026, SMU Alumni gathered in Jakarta, fittingly the very first official event held at the new SMU Indonesia office.

The evening was graced by SMU President, Professor Lily Kong, BBM, PBM, FBA, alongside Professor Archan Misra, who spoke on 𝘈𝘐, 𝘙𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬, unpacking how emerging technologies are reshaping organisations and what lifelong learning means in that context.

We were heartened by the strong support from our community, with more than 60 guests turning up and filling the room to standing room only, creating a lively and engaged atmosphere throughout the evening.

We also officially welcomed the Indonesia Alumni EXCO for 2026 to 2027, led by our “Pak RT” (village head), Chairperson Gulshan Harjani (BBM 2005), alongside Vice Chairperson Stephanie Tantri (BBM 2006), supported by Ernest F. (BBM 2010), Nida An Khafiyya (BSocSc 2010), and Vania Wijaya Gunawan (MI 2022).
