From mentors to professionals, A Full Circle marked The Mentoring Circleโs (TMC) inaugural alumni reunion, initiated by the 9th Circle on 9 January 2026. It was a meaningful milestone that celebrated personal journeys, growth, and the enduring connections that define the TMC alumni community.
As a student-to-student mentoring club supported by the SMU Office of Alumni Relations, TMC has long believed in building an SMU where each generation lifts the next. That belief came to life as alumni from eight circles reunited to reconnect, share stories, and reflect on how far they have come since their student days.
Over dinner and conversation, the evening featured:
1. Warm welcomes and reflections from TMC leaders
2. Icebreakers and Kahoot quizzes that revived familiar inside jokes and traditions
3. Networking moments that strengthened bonds and sparked new collaborations
More than a nostalgic gathering, the reunion reaffirmed TMCโs commitment to mentorship and to growing a strong, connected alumni network. With this inaugural reunion, the current EXCO has laid the foundation for what we hope will become an annual TMC alumni tradition.
