What does it take to build stronger bridges between students and alumni? At ๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐จ๐ฃ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ on 26 January 2026, the OARsome team met with newly inducted student club EXCOs for an evening of connection, conversation, and shared purpose at SMU ALCove.
๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐จ๐ฃ is our annual platform for engaging student leaders, and this yearโs session centred on relationship building and shared understanding. Together with our Director, Florence Neo (Assoc Alum), the team spent time getting to know our student leaders, learning about their groups' goals and activities, and exploring how our work can intersect in meaningful ways.
The session also introduced student leaders to the Office of Alumni Relations, laying the groundwork for partnerships that bring students and alumni closer together through shared initiatives and co-creation.
A warm start to the year, meaningful conversations, and many possibilities ahead as we continue to strengthen the OneSMU spirit.
