On Saturday 22 August 2026, SMU Alumni Homecoming 2026 brought alumni from across the years back to T-Junction, together with their classmates, friends and families, for an afternoon of games, performances, conversations and reconnection.
We were honoured to welcome SMU President Professor Lily Kong, BBM, PBM, FBA as our Guest of Honour. At SMU ALCove, 𝟮𝟬 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 were commended for their dedicated and sustained contributions to the University.
Over at T-Junction, alumni took on seven 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙐𝙋 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 stations to score points for their School before Professor Kong presented the inaugural Homecoming Challenge Trophy. Congratulations to the SMU School of Social Sciences, our first Homecoming Challenge champion! 🏆
The afternoon also featured performances by our talented alumni from 𝗦𝗠𝗨 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝟱, 𝗬𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗸𝘆𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘀, 𝗘𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘅 and 𝗦𝗠𝗨 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴!, while the 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 celebrated the businesses and ideas built by fellow alumni.
At SMU ALCove, two thought-provoking conversations explored the future of work, career resilience, steward leadership and purpose in a changing world.
But Homecoming was never just about the programme. It was about the people who chose to return, reconnect and make SMU feel like home again.
