Congratulations to SMU Funk Movement on its fifth annual production, Epilogue!
After three months of training, the club took to the stage on 2 August 2026, supported by the 𝗦𝗠𝗨 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗸 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 (𝗙𝗠𝗔𝗚) 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝟱. The programme featured works choreographed by Jing Jie Ng (BSc CS 2025), as well as a full alumni piece choreographed by Patrick Kok (DDP 2022) and performed by 30 alumni.
It was a sold-out Sunday night at Gateway Theatre, as funk clubs from other local institutions joined SMU on stage. For our alumni, Epilogue was also a chance to dance alongside old friends again and return to something they have clearly never quite left behind.
