From the Pacific Northwest to the Great Lakes: SMU's North America Tour!
We crossed time zones, cities, and borders, and it was absolutely worth it.
Between 21 March and 1 April 2026, Florence Neo (Assoc Alum) visited Seattle, San Francisco, Toronto, and Chicago, sharing campus updates, catching up on where life has taken everyone, and hearing firsthand about the incredible things our alumni are doing across the globe. Tech leaders in Seattle and the Bay Area. And no matter which city we were in, the SMU spirit shone through.
We were also glad to meet 5 pairs of hashtag#SMOOchies along the way.
A huge thank you to Fengru L. (BSc ISM 2011), recipient of the 2025 SMU Alumni Awards and Founder & CEO of TurtleTree, for sharing her entrepreneurial journey with such openness and generosity.
A special mention too to Stephanie Quek (BSocSc 2014), who travelled all the way from Vancouver to Seattle, and to Christa H. (MBA 2012), who took a nearly 5-hour train from Ann Arbor to Chicago. We are truly grateful you made the journey.
To everyone who joined us, thank you for showing up. It was really good to hear about the impact each and every one of you are making out there. And to those we haven't crossed paths with yet - our next stop might just be your city.
