SMU alumnus Lee Ci En, an advertising media strategist, shares his journey of overcoming physical and emotional obstacles, emphasising the importance of self-acceptance and societal inclusion. His involvement in a volunteering trip to Cambodia profoundly changed his outlook on life. Ci En's story, along with those of other dwarfism patients, inspired the children's book "Short of Nothing," authored by his former teacher Ames Chen and illustrated by Quek Hong Shin. The article also discussed the medical aspects of dwarfism, ongoing research, and efforts to improve public transport and services for people with dwarfism.
