SMU alumna and Singapore sprint queen Shanti Pereira was entered for a 400m race, an event in which she seldom competes, at the Florida Relays on 30 Mar, as part of preparations for her 2024 season. She achieved more than just her training objective and broke a national record. She has plans to compete in the Singapore Open, and in Korea and then the Diamond League meet in China in April.
