The SMU Career Champions Alumni Group was launched on 3 November 2017 (Friday), with joint blessings from the Dato Kho Hui Meng Career Centre (DKHMCC), Office of Alumni Relations (OAR), and the SMU Alumni Association (SMUAA)
The intimate yet lively event was attended by close to 30 alumni and students, as well as SMU staff such as Ms. Debbie Chua, Head, Student Services Hub, Mr. Ang Teck Hoe, Deputy Head for SMU-X, and Mr. Victor Go, Assistant Director, DKHMCC, who had overseen and is currently overseeing the SMU Career Champions student group.
The event began with Associate Professor Low Aik Meng, Director for OAR, who shared about the importance of staying connected with the University. He hopes that this newly-formed group will be able to contribute back in the aspect of career mentoring to the current students.
The SMU Career Champions Alumni Group introduced their EXCO members to much cheering. The group's President Ms. Ho Yan Yan (pictured above) shared about her dreams for the newly launched group, and urged other Career Champions alumni to join, reconnect and share their experiences with current Career Champion students.
