SMUAA member and SMU alumna, Leong Ai Lin (Class of 2007), initiated a new series of sharing sessions titled “Conversations@SMU”. Organised by the SMU Alumni Association, Conversations@SMU aims to bring alumni from different industries back to campus to share their real-world experiences with students and other alumni.
The first session on Private Equity on 26 August 2015 was anchored by three alumni speakers; Tee Yong Siong (Song) (Affinity Equity Partners, Class of 2006), Tong Junjie (Headland Capital Partners, Class of 2009) and Vorapol “Brook” Supanusonti (General Atlantic, Class of 2009). The three speakers candidly engaged with a seminar room of 47 students and alumni on their daily lives, challenges, and rewards, as private equity investors.
