SMU alumna Ms Goh Yu Han was interviewed in a special feature where she shared how the SMU Lee Kong Chian Scholars’ Programme (LKCSP) had enriched her life and gave her many learning opportunities. Ms Goh, who graduated last May with a Bachelor of Business Management in Operations & Marketing and a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology is currently working as a charterer at Shell Eastern Commercials. She said that she had set her mind on SMU not just because of its ideal location right in the heart of town. “The branding as a different university, with an outgoing, sporty and fun culture was a strong-selling point,” she noted. “Students are able to take charge of their own learning, and have many opportunities to organise non-academic activities – where a lot of learning take place too.” Ms Goh also shared how the LKCSP had exposed her to overseas community service projects, and the global exchange opportunities which SMU had offered her. The Scholarship covers full school fees, allowances for one international exchange or study programme, an allowance for an international learning trip, one international community service project with the LKCSP community, as well as allowances for miscellaneous academic materials.
