The SMU Student-Alumni Engagement Pathway (SAEP) is a strategic plan that provides the environment, opportunity, and motivation for alumni and students to interact and stay engaged in the life and success of the University.
Goals of the Pathway:
- Create opportunities for alumni to interact and inspire at key milestones in the student lifecycle.
- Provide a consistent outreach strategy across the University.
- Identity and cultivate students into committed alumni volunteers/leaders.
- Identifies key internal stakeholders in the university and describes their involvement and contribution.

Connect with SMU Alumni Groups (AGs) and Chapters (ACs) to maintain links with fellow alumni and stay engaged with the University, through thriving communities of alumni linked by common experiences and interests.

Find an SMU alumni mentor who can provide guidance and insights on career or academic choices, industry knowledge, professional networking opportunities, and invaluable experiences.
Professional and Continuing Education
All PG students, and Year 3 and 4 UG students are invited to specially curated professional or industry networking events that support and equip them with the skills and competencies to develop a competitive advantage.
